About Victory Sport Fishing Charter

Victory is a 35′ Cabo Express anchored in Potrero Bay, powered by twin Caterpillar engines and rigged for serious sportfishing. With an air-conditioned cabin, a private bathroom, and a full kitchen aboard, she's built to keep up to seven guests comfortable through a long day on the water.

The boat carries everything you'd expect from a professional charter — an experienced captain and crew, GPS and fishfinder, and all the tackle and equipment for the day. Light snacks, sandwiches, water, and soft drinks come standard on every trip, with optional beverages available. You're welcome to bring your own food and drinks as well — just no glass on board.

While Victory anchors in Potrero Bay, pickup is available anywhere from Papagayo to Tamarindo and other beaches along the coast, so you can fish out of Playa Potrero no matter where you're staying.

  • Tournament-grade tackle: All gear provided, including top-tier tackle for pursuing billfish and trophy inshore species.
  • Onboard comfort: A spacious cabin with A/C and a private bathroom on board.

Preparing for Your Victory Fishing Trip

  • Sun protection: A hat and polarized sunglasses — polarized lenses cut the glare and help you spot fish.
  • Lotion sunscreen (no spray): The tropical sun is intense; bring lotion-based, high-SPF sunscreen, since sprays are hard to control and leave residue on the boat's surfaces.
  • Swimsuit and towels: Wear your swimsuit if you plan to take a dip, and bring towels for drying off.
  • Camera: A phone or camera in a waterproof case, or a dedicated waterproof camera, to capture your catches and wildlife encounters.
  • Mandatory fishing license: A $15 Costa Rica fishing license is required for everyone fishing — secure it before your trip — how to obtain a fishing license. Apply online at INCOPESCA
